Hello San Juan County Farmers!

I wanted to remind us all that we have this message board in place as a forum for connecting with other farmers in the islands without needing to be on social media. Staying connected and supporting each other is so important, now more than ever! 

This group is open to individuals that have an interest in San Juan County farming topics. It's a place to ask questions and get answers, offer things for sale, promote events and workshops, or request support (e.g., volunteer group raising of a high tunnel, farm work positions available, tractor support for hire, bulk purchase coordination, etc.).  

As Ag Program Coordinator for WSU San Juan Extension, I do my best to share information and resources with you all through the SJC Farm and Food listserv, which I think most of you are subscribed to, but I really want to encourage us all to make use of this group to post your own info or questions and hopefully we can build this as a useful communication tool among us. We currently have 39 members, but wouldn't it be great to invite more farmer friends to join and begin to make this a space where timely updates, conversations, and information sharing can help strengthen our farming community? If you know someone you think might benefit from being a part of this group, send them an invite!

This is a reminder to myself as much as all of you, so consider yourselves warned that I plan to to start sharing more through this group and hopefully inspire each of you consider doing the same! Let's stay connected and build our web of support for food and farming in San Juan County!
