OBA Committee and Office Bearers

Chaps,

Shashi's nomination for President of the OBA is now formally in; I've seconded it.  Former President of the OBA, Franklin (Batch of 1988) has proposed him.  Let's back him fully!

Apart from Shashi, we have two other classmates in the fray -- Ian for Secretary; and yours truly for Committee, both proposed by Shashi.  

If all this goes through (and I can't see why not), the Class of 1990 will have two office bearers (in addition to one committee member); I don't think any previous batch has had it on the OBA Committee, like this!

So, we are all in it together and good luck to all -- need all the support and here's a call to attend the meeting in good strength guys, in this our silver jubilee year!  Apart from the elections several important resolutions coming up for consideration.

I don't believe there is anyone else in our batch who has put in the hours Shashi has put in (managing some of the OBA events almost single handed).....  I believe he has both the experience and the dedication to do this job very well.  I also believe his unwillingness to accept status quo will be a very good thing for the OBA.

Ian needs no introduction.... he will make a great secretary as he does being a great lawyer/liar.

While putting our weight behind them might not be necessary (for obvious reasons) ....... being there at the AGM and casting our votes will be absolutely crucial to getting them in (guys please note there is actually going to be a vote this time)..... so lets all make it for the AGM and vote.

Shashi has been on the committee for a long time and it was time!

Most notable in his contributions is the OBA Buzz which he has spearheaded that has connected very well with students.

My 7 year old son came home & said he participated in "OBA Buzz". 

I've been on the committee for two years thanks to Shashi who has proposed my name on both occasions.
