Bowling Championship 2017
Ali Suria won the Masters Event & Anum Fahad won the Women’s Singles Title of 3rd Pakistan Day Tenpin Bowling Championship
Over 100 Male & Female Bowlers played the Finals of 3rd Pakistan Day Tenpin Bowling Championship that was organized by Sindh Tenpin Bowling Association on 23rd to 25th March at The Royal Rodale Club, DHA, Karachi. The Championship lasts for 3 days participated in Masters Singles, Graded Singles, Women’s Singles, Under 12, NOVICE/Beginners, & Team Event categories. Majority of young players took part actively in NOVICE, Under category. The Ranking Tournament marked a noteworthy effort to enhance the performances of players in National Ranking Event and it received healthy appreciation from the players that resulted in record participation.
MASTER SINGLES: Ali Suria leaded the Master Singles with the average of 190 score, received PKR 15,000 cash award along with a Winning Trophy, while Ahmer Abbas Saldera was the Runners-up with average 178, received PKR 10,000 with a Runner up trophy, whereas Daniyal Shah secured 3rd position with average of 175 score and he was awarded PKR 6,000 cash along with a trophy and Sarim kazim on 4th Position and received Trophy with cash award.
WOMEN’S SINGLES: Anum Fahad lead the Women Category with the average of 140 Average Score and received 5,000 Cash Award along with Winning Trophy, Noor Haironi was the runners-up with average 129 Average and received Rs.3,000 cash prize with a Runners up Trophies . Ayesha Abbas Saldera secured 3rd position with 126 Avg received 2,000 rupees and trophies.
GRADED SINGLES: Aqeel Iqbal with stunning performance secured 1st position (172 Avg pts), received PKR 12,000 cash award along with a Winning Trophy, Asif Ali was the Runners-up (168 avg), received PKR 8,000 and a Runners up Trophy, Danish Bakhshi earned 3rd position (157 avg) and he received PKR 4,000 and trophy
NOVICE (Beginners SINGLES): Faisal Feroz with striking performance scored 1st position ( 175 Avg. received PKR 6,000 cash award along with a Winning Trophy, Mateen Shafi was the Runners-up (154 Avg), received PKR 4,000 and a Runners up Trophy, Nasir Mehmood took 3rd Position (151 Avg) and he received PKR 3,000 and trophy
UNDER 12: Amna Abbas with stunning performance secured 1st position (130 Avg pts), received PKR 5,000 cash award along with a Winning Trophy, Abdur Rehman was the Runners-up (111 avg), received PKR 3,000 and a Runners up Trophy, Minah Baber earned 3rd position (93 avg) and he received PKR 2,000 and trophy.
MIX TEAM: In team events Category Ahmer Abbas Team secure the place in final by defeating the Ali Suria team. The players of Winning Team Ahmer Abbas Saldera, Aqeel Iqbal, Danish Hussain & Dr Abdul Samad graib the Winning Trophy and awarded Rs 18,000 , while team Ali Suria, Faisal Feroz, Abid Ahmed & Sunaif Riaz won Runners-up Trophy and a Rs 12000.while Haroon Anwer , Asif Ali, Khawaja Ahmed & Farhan Kamal secure 3rd position and received Rs.8,000 Cast Award with Trophy.
Mr. Abbas Khan Saldera, Petron in Chief of Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation honoured the Award Ceremony as a Chief Guest accompanied by Khawaja Ahmed Mustaqeem, CEO Virtual Axis. The STBA Management Team, Mr Aleem Agha President Sindh Tenpin Bowling Association, Romis Ali, General Secretary welcomed the worthy Guests. The Chief Guest distributed Cash Awards & Trophies to winning participants. Mr. Aleem Agha concluded the ceremony by giving a note of thank to the participants, honourable guests and media for their dedicated support which resulted in the success of the event.
While talking to Media, Romis Ali, Founder General Secretary of Sindh Tenpin Bowling Association says appealed to Mr Malik Riaz Chairman and founder of Bahria Town that Tenpin Bowling has not yet been able to establish its own club with Training facilities and the players are facing lot of difficulties in this regards. Now Publich Sector can play its part and extend support to Bowling Association for suited measures. In order to take part in international events we direly need training and coaching facilities to polish the skills of our player in befitting manners. We can get our share as this sport is much popular and being played in 144 countries. While maintaining Bowling Club we will be able to train our young players and get them attractive to this sport. it is renowned fact we do have skills of international standards and this event is the evidence of it.
Aleem Agha, President of STBA, Says that time of the year again when we all get together to celebrate Pakistan Resolution Day on the lanes. Players enthusiasm and participation helped us putting a great show last year and we hope to take it to the next level this year too InshaAllah .
Mr Aleem Agha conducted a Lucky Draw to give the evening a fabulous end, and registered members were given high importance and encouragement for their participation to create a lively and enjoyable environment after a tough competition. The Lucky Draw was given on behalf of STBA, for the registered players, against their entry and registration coupons. The winners were given Gift Hampers from Royal Rodale Club & STBA. The evening ended with word of thanks by Abbass Khan Saldera, for enthusiastic and highly supportive participation and presence of the audience and the players.
