Ahmed Shahkhani & Youngster Jawad Usman Clinch the Titles of 13th STBA Independence Day Bowling Tournament 2016
KARACHI: Sindh’s bowlers played the Finals of 13th Independence Day Bowling Tournament 2015 played at Hit Zone Arena, Karachi Present by Sindh Tenpin Bowling Association (STBA under the category of Masters & Amateurs categories
OPEN SINGLES: Baba Bowling, Ahmed Shakhani, lead the tournament with the outstanding average of 190, received PKR 7,500/- cash along with Winner Trophy, while Fazil Maniya was the runners-up with average 184, received PKR 5000/- cash with a trophy. Top seaded Ahmer Abbas Saldera secured 3rd position (170 Avg.) and received PKR 3500/- cash with a trophy and Farhaj Ahmed on 4th position with average of 167 and received trophy
AMATEUR SINGLES: Youngster Jawad Memon, had the victorious end in Amateur Singles category with average of 192 and received PKR 6,000/- cash along with the Winning Trophy, while Naveed Iqbal was the Runners-up with average of 165, received PKR 3,000/- cash with a trophy. Osama Ayoub secured 3rd position with average of 163 and received PKR 2,500 cash with a trophy and Umair Bawani on 4th
The Guest of Honour Mr Husain Ali , Asst Chairmen, Arena & Senior Bowler Mr. Usman Ghani honoured the Award Ceremony, accompanied by Mr. Aleem Agha, Sr. Vice President of STBA, and Romis Ali, Founder General Secretary of STBA.
While talking to Media, Romis Ali, Founder General Secretary, STBA said, “We call this event of Pakistan Independence Day a treat to our bowlers. However the code of conduct and legitimacy of STBA has made the Bowling a progressive sport in the region and provided the consistency to retain its position in the winning circle. We are making all possible efforts to hear the dropping of Bowling Pins in every District of Sindh by getting sports areas approved by Government for bowling alleys and installing professional lanes. The representation from Interior Sindh still haven’t left behind with the participation of players whose passion for bowling drags them down to Karachi Bowling Alleys all the way long from their residency
