160 Male & Female Bowlers played the Finals of 3rd Saldera PTBF Ranking Tenpin Bowling Tournament 2015 that was organized by Sindh Tenpin Bowling Association on 20th to 28th November at Royal Rodale Club, DHA, Karachi. The Championship lasts for 12 days participated in Ranking Masters/Amateur, Women’s, Under 24, Under 12, NOVICE/Beginners, Doubles & Team Event , Celebrities & Inter-Media categories. From Lahore, Islamabad & Karachi. Majority of young players took part actively in NOVICE, Under 10, Under 12 & Under 24 category. The Ranking Tournament marked a noteworthy effort to enhance the performances of players in National Ranking Event and it received healthy appreciation from the players that resulted in record participation.
The event is to acknowledge the emerging world class talent “Ahmer Abbas Saldera”, titled with ‘Saldera’, an amazing 17 year old talented player who scored the Perfect Game of 300 first time in History of Pakistan Bowling currently leading the top charts in Pakistan amongst Master and experienced players.
OPEN SINGLES: Ahmer Abbass Saldera leaded the tournament with the score of average Score of 205, received PKR 100,000 cash award along with a Winning Trophy, while Imran Bipra was the Runners-up (204 avg), received PKR 50,000 with a Runner up trophy, whereas Muhammad Fazil secured 3rd position (199 avg) and he was awarded PKR 25,000 cash along with a trophy.
WOMEN’S SINGLES: Anam Fahad lead the Women Category in Ranking Tournament with the average of 132 and received 10,000 Cash Award along with Winning Trophy, Ayesha Abbas Saldera was the runners-up with average 126 Average and received Rs.5,000 cash prize with a Runners up Trophies . Ramin Amir secured 3rd position with 117 Avg received 2,500 rupees and trophies.
AMATEUR SINGLES: Ali Shahbaz Saldera with stunning performance secured 1st position ( 176 Avg pts), received PKR 50,000 cash award along with a Winning Trophy, Hanif Silat was the Runners-up (175 avg), received PKR 25,000 and a Runners up Trophy, Anas Asif earned 3rd position (163 avg) and he received PKR 15,000 and trophy.
NOVICE (Beginners SINGLES): Ali Shahbaz Saldera with striking performance scored 1st position ( 157 Avg. received PKR 6,000 cash award along with a Winning Trophy, Mehroz Khan was the Runners-up (145 Avg), received PKR 4,000 and a Runners up Trophy, Rayaan Tariq took 3rd Position (145 Avg) and he received PKR 2,000 and trophy
UNDER 10: Amna Abbas Saldera with stunning performance secured 1st position a Winning Trophy, Mohammad Ayaan was the Runners-up and received a Runners up Trophy, Minah Babar earned 3rd position and he received a trophy.
UNDER 14: Amna Saldera with stunning performance secured 1st position (129 Avg pts), received PKR 5,000 cash award along with a Winning Trophy, Farzad Usman was the Runners-up (121 avg), received PKR 3,000 and a Runners up Trophy, Raahim Riaz earned 3rd position (108 avg) and he received PKR 2,000 and trophy.
UNDER 24: Ali Suria with stunning performance secured 1st position ( 197 Avg pts), received PKR 10,000 cash award along with a Winning Trophy, Ahmed Abbas Saldera was the Runners-up (182 avg), received PKR 5,000 and a Runners up Trophy, Asfand Yar Youns earned 3rd position (176 avg) and he received PKR 2,500 and trophy.
DOUBLE MASTERS: After the aggressive game play Shabbir LAhkarwala & Robert Shangara secured 1st position and received Rs.20,000 and a Winning Trophies. The 2nd Position was obtained by Ahmer Abbas & Tariq Perviz received Rs.16,000 cash prize with Runners up Trophies. The 3rd Position was secured by Imran Bapra & Muhammad Sajid received 6,000 rupees and trophies
DOUBLES AMATEUR: After the aggressive game play Ali Shahbaz Saldera with the Paicer Mohsin Ali secured 1st position and received Rs.10,000 and a Winning Trophies. The 2nd Position was obtained by Aqeel Iqbal & Arshad Rajput and received Rs.6,000 cash prize with Runners up Trophies. The 3rd Position was secured by Anum Fahad & Mohsin Ali received 4,000 rupees and trophies
4 MIX TEAM MASTER:: In team events Category Javed Usman Team secure the place in final by defeating the Ali Suria team. The players of Winning Team Jawwad Usman, Khawaja Ahmed, Robert Shangara & Faizan Tariq graib the Winning Trophy and awarded Rs 24,000 , while team Ali Suria, Afzal Akhtar, Mushtaq Bimla & Farhaj Ahmed won Runners-up Trophy and a Rs 16000.while Imran Royal, Usman Ghani, Naeem Ibrahim & Mohammad Sajid secure 3rd position and received Rs.12,000 Cast Award with Trophy.
4 MIX TEAM AMATEUR:: Asfand Yar Younus, Ansar Rizwan, Hanif Silat & Danish Bakshi graib the Winning Trophy and awarded Rs 16,000 , while team Rameez Mohammad, Osama Ayub, Arshad Rajput& Aqeel Iqbal won Runners-up Trophy and a Rs 8000.while Anam Fahad, Mohsin Ali, Mohammad Gulzar & Shahrukh Javed secure 3rd position and received Rs.6,000 Cast Award with Trophy
Mr. Raiz Hussain Pirzada, Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination honoured the Award Ceremony as a Chief Guest accompanied by DG, Pakistan Sports Board – Mr. Akhtar Nawaz Genjera, Patron in Chief Khas Saldera . The STBA Management Team, Mr Aleem Agha Sr. Vice President, Shabbir Lashkerwala & Ahmed Shakhani, Vice Presidents and Romis Ali- General Secretary Fahmeem Ahmed & Tariq Perviz, Joint Secretaries with Treasure Muhammad Rameez welcomed the worthy Guests. The Chief Guest distributed Cash Awards & Trophies to winning participants. Mr. Aleem Agha concluded the ceremony by giving a note of thank to the participants, honourable guests and media for their dedicated support which resulted in the success of the event.

“It is encouraging and surprising that we have the Bowling skills of international standards in our youth and the event conducted and witnessed by me is an evidence to the fact. I am quite impressed from PTBF/STBA Officials and appreciate their way to promote the youth talent and their promotion. He said Govt of Pakistan will make an effort to construct State of the Art Bowling Alleys in each province and 20 - 30 Lanes Bowling Alley in Karachi for international events. He directed that STBA should provide all technical details/data to plan for the project. While answering the media, he said required piece of Land will be allotted to STBA to Construct a 20-30 Lanes Bowling Alley of International Standards under private public partnership program.”
At the end he expressed his feelings and said I can see bright future of sport, while seeing the dedication and devotion of STBA Officials. He announced following cash awards for the winning player for their encouragement:-
• 200.000 Rupees for the17 years ol Ahmer Abbas Saldera who scored the Perfect Game of 300 and currently leading the top charts in Pakistan
• 1,000,000 for PTBF for Upcoming International Event
• 1,000,000 for Sindh Tenpin Bowling Association to appreciate their way to promote the youth talent and their promotion
• Announce Bowling Alley in Islamabad
• 20 to 30 lan Bowling Alley in Karachi under private public partnership program
While talking to Media, Romis Ali, Founder General Secretary of STBA said "Federation is taking serious steps to promote bowling in Pakistan. Time is not far away when we will truly enlighten the name of our country across the world. He said Government should take keen interest to promote bowling in Pakistan and come forward to establish Bowling Alleys in every Provence Capital of Pakistan.
Aleem Agha, Senior Vice President of STBA, appealed to Government of Sindh that Tenpin Bowling has not yet been able to establish its own club with Training facilities and the players are facing lot of difficulties in this regards. Government can play its part and extend support to Association for suited measures. In order to take part in international events we direly need training and coaching facilities to polish the skills of our player in befitting manners. We can get our share as this sport is much popular and being played in 144 countries. While maintaining Bowling Club we will be able to train our young players and get them attractive to this sport. it is renowned fact we do have skills of international standards and this event is the evidence of it.
Mr Aleem Agha conducted a Lucky Draw to give the evening a fabulous end, and registered members were given high importance and encouragement for their participation to create a lively and enjoyable environment after a tough competition. The Lucky Draw was given on behalf of STBA, for the registered players, against their entry and registration coupons. The winners were given Gift Hampers from Vision Venture & STBA. The evening ended with delicious Dinner followed by a word of thanks by Abbass Khan Saldera, for enthusiastic and highly supportive participation and presence of the audience and the players.
