python library for .ser videos ?

Hi all,

does anyone know if there is a module for reading/writing .ser files, or should I write one from scratch ? The goal is to remove the pattern noise I get with H-alpha images on my IMX 178MM sensor. This noise has been well documented (see https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/700403-pattern-noise-with-asi178mm-non-cooled-with-h-alpha-imaging/ for example) and from what I understand it is treatable by pre-processing the sequence frame by frame

Thanks Glenn, I was able to use some parts of the Solex code to read/write .ser files. I still does not work well enough to correct the problem, still working on it...
