Solar Viewing, Tune Up Day - Sunday

Hello SJAA Members and Friends,

An added reminder that the monthly solar viewing program and the Tune Up session will be held this Sunday. Both start at 2PM and go until 4PM, at Houge Park in San Jose.

These two new programs, new for 2012, are held the first Sunday of each month.  We typically have the SJAA's new 100mm h-alpha solar telescope along with other folks who bring their filtered and projection systems to share the views of everyone's favorite daytime star.  Remember, never look at the sun without proper protection!

The Tune Up day is for folks who may have gear they need some help with, from as simple as collimation to getting ideas on how to fix something.  Lots of times, people hang around and just talk amateur astronomy!
