This Friday, 26 January 2018, is the next in our series of Intro to the Night Sky sessions at SJAA basecamp, Houge Park. Learn about what's happening in the night sky in the coming month and what you can see from your own backyard. Afterward take a guided tour outside, and then take a walk down telescope row at our In-Town Star Party (ITSP). The class and the star party are free, no reservations, just show up!

Astronomers: If you have a telescope or binoculars on a mount, and can bring them to share the views with the public, please consider doing so.  It helps to further the mission of the SJAA to bring astronomy to the public. Thank you in advance!

NOTE ABOUT WEATHER: Please be sure to check the Meetup for this event (see the links below) if weather might be a problem. If the ITSP is canceled, we will post a notice only on the Meetup.  However, only the ITSP should be affected; the Intro to the Night Sky session is inside and should continue regardless of weather.

Though reservations are not required for either event, we do appreciate RSVPs via the Meetup group. Please use the following links for more info, and to RSVP (don't worry, if you RSVP and can't make it, we won't judge!).
