Hi All,
Just to clarify a few points to all rather than reply to specific
emails and/or coolrunning etc.
Guaranteed Entrants:
There was a query re the amount of 5 and over vets that may enter.
Yes, there are a huge amount out there as you can see from the runner
history sheet, but in the last three years we have only got between
140 and 160 entering, so we based our estimation on this.
I will have a review of this to be safe so that the 'other vets' don't
get squeezed out in the worst case scenario. If it looks like we need
more safety then we will tweak it a bit, but absolutely all 5 time
(bucklers) will get in and ditto for 11 time (belters) and 17 time
('jacketers'). If any tweaking it will be in the 6-10 area.
Internet connection/activenet test:
I gave a link to activenet so that people can check whether they can
access site, that's all. If you can 'play around' on their site then
it should mean you are not blocked.
There were very very few people who complained of internet access from
certain locations (usually work). So for the most, especially if you
have used it last year or used another event's activenet entry you
should know you are ok.
If you regularly use the internet for bookings, flights, online
payment etc you should also be ok.
But if you want to go one step further then perhaps just google
'regonline-activenet' and you will get events that use activenet and
you can test their entry and abort. Warning, it does result in an
'incomplete entry' advice for them so I don't want to encourage
unnecessary spam to them.
Two clubs I am involved with also use it for their monthly racing
series- again use your discretion , please only test if you need to.
Keep running.
