Dear newsletter subscriber,
(you may have already received an email if you have entered in the last 4 years)
The general entries for veterans and novices go live tomorrow, 15th December at 9:00am AEDST.
Here are just a few notes to make your entry process smoother.
- The entry links for both veteran and novice entry forms- two
separate links- will be displayed on the 6FT Track Website
(www.sixfoot.com) by early tomorrow morning - after the testing mode
has been deactivated.
- The entry links will also be emailed to all on these lists tomorrow morning.
- The entry system has been expanded to take the entire limit available in both categories without queueing.
- Email and password history has been cleared, i.e. you will need a
new password for the email you are using. The password has to fulfill
three out of the following four categories- lower case, upper case,
numeric and special characters- and be a minimum 8 characters.
- When you have been allowed to continue to the personal
information page then you are included in the capacity and will need to
complete your registration in 10 minutes. There is no need to rush
through and give incomplete or incorrect information.
- If you are registering for more than one person then the system
may fill up while you are completing the first one and you are better
off getting the second one done simultaneously from a separate computer.
- You will not be allowed to use the same email address for two
registrations nor is there a need to log in with multiple browsers.
- The singlet or shirt is included in the event fee. Additional
merchandise and bus tickets may be ordered on the merchandise page.
- When you check out, a fee of 4.5% will be added (entry provider
fee) and you will be directed to the Everyday Hero fundraising page.
This is entirely voluntary and you can log out from there if you don't
want to continue. Remember, fundraisers who collect more than $1,000 get
a guaranteed entry to the next year's race.
- When the limits have been reached, no further entries will be
taken to the main entry forms. The waitlist form will not automatically
be activated. Once the entries have all been cleared through system the
waitlist form for the respective category will be manually activated and
accesible on same link. This should happen approximately 15min after
the entries are full.
- The waitlist form will collect the same information as the main
form, without the requirement to pay at checkout. 2012 entrants on
waitlist will be moved to the top of the waitlist in order of
registration time.
I know for many the process is a stressful occasion, but please bear in
mind that the race capacity is limited due to logistics and the entry
process has to cover everybody in the '6Ft demographic '.
Good luck,
cheers
Colin
