It's been just under a year since we did the first Six Hour Startup
event. We've spent the last year primarily focused on making this a
repeatable process. And while not every event has been a raging
success, I believe we've gotten to the point where we have a good idea
of what works, what doesn't, what elements are critical, and what can
be left behind. And, of course, the whole focus has been on keeping
the six hour startups open, educational, and above all fun.

So what's the next step? Do we need a next step, or should we just
keep on doing what we're already doing? I see us coming into "Six Hour
Startup: Season 2" this September, so I'd like to take an opportunity
to re-examine some of our goals and focus a bit more on expansion.

If you're interested in having a say in the direction of Six Hour
Startup for the next year, or if you want to play a larger role,
please rsvp and show up at the Board Meeting - Monday, August 4th at
Giraffe Labs. If you haven't already, I would also encourage you to
sign up on the 6hs-organize mailing list - most of these types of
discussions will be happening over there (to keep this list a little
less cluttered).

Also, if you have an idea off the top of your head, or something you
want to discuss at the meeting, feel free to respond to this thread.
We're always open to suggestions!
