Microsoft has generously offered to host the next Six Hour Startup, so
rather than it being held at Giraffe Labs it is going to be held on
the Microsoft campus in Redmond Washington. The event will be held in
their Platform Adoption Center (Which is building 20 on this map).

Microsoft's page for the building is located here, includes a
different map and driving directions.

The project concept which came from the ideascale site
http://sixhourstartup.ideascale.com/akira/dtd/5052-528 is to build an
updated finger/whois type of service/search site using ASP and
silverlight. There are large numbers of services like Wink, LinkedIn,
Wikipedia, Facebook, Google News, Technorati, Yahoo Person Search,
Spock, WikiYou, ZoomInfo, IMDB, MySpace that contain information about
what people and the companies are doing. For this project iteration we
are probably only going to pick 2-3 sites to present the data from.

There is a lot of information out there about people in those sites,
its going to be a fun challenge to present it in a coherent manner
using the latest Microsoft technologies. We as always are looking for
people with business development, graphic design skills, silverlight
and ASP skills of any level.

The code from the event will be released under the BSD license.

Any questions please send me an email or give me a call at (206) 295 1605
