Cyrillic PDF encoding problem

Hi, I'm from Bulgaria and we use Cyrillic alphabet. I have problem
with generated with SIWAPP, PDF files. When you create PDF file all
Cyrillic characters appeared as ???????.
Do you know someone a solution about this bad problem?

I have the same bad experience with Czech/Slovak language.
The devil is not in detail but in the PDF module, that is unable to
handle any CP annexes.

first thing first. Please excluse the delay in answering.

The pdf generation part is relied to a third-part plugin: sfDomPDF

The actual development version of siwapp has this issue addressed already. hopefully dompdf will work right.

If you feel adventurous, though, you can follow some quick & dirty instructions I've posted at

http://dev.siwapp.org/projects/siwapp/attachment/wiki/pdfUnicodeSupport

to get the siwapp 0.3.* version  working with pdf unicode support.

I built those instructions after I worked around the problem with new code, but I haven't the chance to test if those instructions actually work on the released versions . Please get back to me if the don't.

The link that you sent to us doesn't work. But I found in Wiki this:

I think that is the correct link.

I try this step by step, but when I test the result by clicking to PDF
button the massage appear:

When I change back the default code in siwappConfiguration.class.php
PFD button work but not with Cyrillic support.

dompdf is definitely not going to be helpful at all for us.

we're moving to another pdf generator which has proper unicode support.

I think we have found a proper set of fonts and a way to make unicode work.
