siwapp no longer works in php7, and i couldnt make it work with some effort..
So i decided to modernize it and port it to symfony3.

https://github.com/ParisLiakos/siwapp-sf3

I believe the whole thing will be usable very soon, so the question is:
Should it be maintained under the siwapp namespace or not?
I would like to know the team feelings, since i know there is a RoR version underways, which for several reasons i will not use.

Hi Paris, if you like tell us when your version in sf3 is ready and we'll push the code into the siwapp github repository.
Thank you

Great! I will let you know.
For now i am trying to keep feature parity with siwapp-sf1

This is now ready/functional.
What is left is:
  • Some polishing
  • Writing some tests
  • Write an upgrade path from v0.4
  • Implement tags (i am not interested in tags, so i will not work on it)
I will write the upgrade path soon.
Should the repo now move to siwapp/siwapp and a new branch, and when the upgrade path is ready there is a v1.0-beta1 tagged? Or we keep it under siwapp/siwapp-sf3.

I think the best option would be to put it under siwapp/siwapp-sf3

Is this stable enough to run in production? As an upgrade from an existing legacy siwapp installation.

Yes, i think its stable, i am not sure for the upgrade path though, so please test it if you can, and report back any issues.

For now, the issue is this: https://github.com/siwapp/siwapp-sf3/issues/13 which prevents me from upgrading

I've tested the upgrade path. It didn't work because of an error with the "name" column. See: https://github.com/siwapp/siwapp-sf3/issues/14

Thanks
