Something I found out quite recently is that PokeMMO adds trainers in order to increase difficulty. Most of the images I found are from the original games, and these don't include the trainers MMO added(some don't include trainers at all, I don't even know why). I will mark them with a circle still, but just keep in mind that those trainers are there.

So I marched bari last year in my little summer marching band and this year I'm looking to switch to contra. I'm not exactly the strongest/ biggest guy in the world, so I'm trying to think of ways to simulate having a contra on my shoulder to build up some endurance for next season. But, I don't have access to an instrument except at our winter camps. Any tips or ideas? Thanks!

It's a moot point --- but it ultimately helps to have a horn. There's no better way to understand the weight distribution and getting comfortable enough to maneuver with the same level of proficiency as the other instruments. There's no exercise that really mirrors getting it from ground to "chop" -- or snapping from "chop" to playing position -- other than actually DOING it.

I'm no licensed trainer or anything (usual disclaimer applies: talk to a certified fitness instructor or a doctor before starting a new regimen), but below are some exercises or general workouts that have helped me. In general: you want to give as much attention to your core and back muscles as you do your arms.

Yoga and Pilates have many similar benefits, though their philosophies and founding principles are very different. Both sculpt your whole body and improve your mind-body awareness. Yoga is considered a lifestyle, whereas Pilates is a workout. Both practices focus on proper posture and positions to improve your flexibility, strength, and posture.

Yoga is thought to be a 5,000-year-old tradition. It was developed with the purpose of giving practitioners greater self-awareness, tension release, and personal freedom. Through regular practice of yoga postures, core strengthening exercises, breathing techniques, and deep relaxation you can increase core strength, posture, and flexibility, obtain greater awareness of body and mind, reduce stress and tension, improve breathing and overall health and quiet the body and mind.

Choose from regularly scheduled Pilates mat classes or employ a certified Pilates trainer to achieve greater results. The Pilates method will help you improve your flexibility and strength and develop control. Pilates teaches body awareness and good posture.

We are a team of CCW certified firearm trainers dedicated to helping responsible Contra Costa County gun owners by providing gun safety and firearms training through CCW training , including teaching you correct form and techniques in using your firearm.

The Contra Costa County CCW training is designed to provide the student with an understanding of the attitude, skills, and knowledge necessary to prepare them for the unexpected encounter for which they might find themselves. This firearms course was designed for the beginner to advanced shooter who is looking to gain their Contra Costa County Conceal Carry license.

16-Hour Initial CCW
The training is approximately 8 hours of classroom work and 8 hours of range time. The time will vary depending on number of students and their ability. Classes of less than 6 participants will be rescheduled to the next class date.

Range fees are $50 per student. Includes targets, and training completion certificate, copy of California Gun Laws (by C.D. Michel) and The Law of Self Defense (by Andrew Branca.) No extra charge if qualifying with multiple firearms.

Whether your moving towards a target or the target moves towards you, we train you in the proper way to handle both situations. Our new Attack Target travels towards you from 7 yards away in 1.5 seconds.

When it comes to contralateral vs ipsilateral loading (both are unilateral) the reasons to choose one over the other focuses more on the desired level of stability and muscle recruitment specificity. Contralateral exercises allow for:

Essentially, ipsilateral exercises greatly increase central stability requirements and help develop neuromuscular recruitment specificity as well as the ability to deal with offsetting forces during sports and other dynamic activities. The potential downside to ipsilateral movement is that it may reduce the potential for loading and/or range of motion.

Another exercise example is the Single-Arm Overhead Bulgarian Squat. When performing the movement with the weight in the same hand as the forward leg (ipsilateral), the focus will be on glute activation and minimization of compensatory movements. When the load is on the opposite side of the forward leg (contralateral), central stability and range of motion are challenged.

Summary: contralateral = greater stability and high range of motion potential; ipsilateral = asymmetrical forces increase stability demands and coordinated muscle activation to offset disruptive forces
