Hello! Does anyone know how to trigger the pads on the 404 mk2 from a spd-sx? I have midi out on the SX to midi in on the 404. For bank "A" on the 404, I have them both set to channel 1. I have the pads assigned to the corresponding notes (based on the user's manual for the MK2), but they still aren't reading each other...I have the type "A" midi cord too, but also tried the "B" type just for the heck of it.

The SPD-SX manual is coy about its MIDI capabilities, but there is a small chance that it can send MIDI transport messages when starting and stopping the metronome click. More likely is that it can only listen to tempo information from other devices.

A quick look at the SPD-SX manual shows it to be a very different beast (not as many buttons makes this task a little bit slower) to my SPD-20 but nevertheless the theory is the same. You just need to change the MIDI notes of a PAD (if not clear in the manual, this seems to describe it).
