Mugged in Park near Capital Building on Flag Day

My husband and I were walking at 8:30 in the morning on Flag Day. We
were the only people in the park except for a sleeping man in a
sleeping bag. I thought a bird pooped on me when a nice and "helpful"
man appeared from one direction and a seemingly nice women appeared
from another direction. He had tissues and she had a bottle of
water. The began helping us clean off the poop they had thrown at
us. They "helped" themselves to our credit card and money. We closed
the card down before any charges and only lost $60 US but it was quite
a surprise. Carry only a few dollars and a credit card hidden in a
bra or belt. They did not steal my camera which I laid down on a
fence while we were cleaning ourselves. Lucky.
