Can't Edit Table

Question:   I'm setting up my first Google Site, and after clicking on the pencil (Edit Page) I tried to change the width in my table, but every time I click in a cell, I just get a pop-up to change the basic info in the cells in that line. Is there something else I need to do?

You want to hold your mouse over the border line of the cell and you should see an the mouse pointer change, allowing you to change the size. You can also change the width in the html if you're comfortable with that.
