Font colors

Question:   I have a black text box thing on my site, and I can't see the letters of my contact form. I tried to look up how to change the font color, but I keep seeing stuff about codes and whatever. I don't even understand what that's about or how it's supposed to work. Do you know what I can do about changing the font to white?
