The 13th meet of SIT Alumni will be held on Sunday, the 2nd Oct 2011 i.e. on Gandhi Jayanthi Day, in Birla Auditorium, SIT Campus. The success of our previous meets was mainly due to the enthusiastic and lively participation from you and your friends.

The Alumni Meet is a great source of inspiration to all our students, faculty and staff. Your participation in the program along with your family and friends is very important for the success of 2011 meet.

In 2011 meet, we will celebrate the silver jubilee of the graduation of students admitted during the year 1982. All those admitted in the year 1982 are specially invited for this Alumni meet. Also, 150th Birthday of Sir M. Visvesvaraya will be celebrated in this meet.

I propose to have a stage and a microphone for all individuals to come up and talk about the experience of SIT days, journey after SIT days, good - bad- ugly times / experiences and give a message of their own.

If family / kids are going be present, please give a thought of engaging them so that there is only fun and enjoyment even after the get together.

We have Riaz, Koshy, Murugan and Debasish Saha in the group. They all will in all likelihood join us on the 1^st. I’ve also been able to link up with Anand Vastrala and Krishna (Tall with booming voice) thru Pratul. Both are in the US.

Nag Kumar and Mallikarjun will be discussing with the Country Club today or tomorrow and will finalise the following:

a) Room tariff – We have been confirmed a tariff of 1100/-. Whether it will be on twin sharing basis or triple sharing basis.

b) Dinner on 1^st Oct and the menu – I guess it should be a fixed buffet menu which perhaps Nagkumar and Mallikarjun can decide . Nagkumar says the tariff of 1100/- includes this dinner. To be confirmed.

c) Whether we can carry our hard liquor and pay them a corkage fee. Soft drinks and beer to be taken from them. Negotiate rates for all.

Guess we should hear from them by wed or thurs.

Not many from other faculties are joining in this chain: civil and chemical friends are missing I hope.

I heard shiva kumar of chemical engg is associated SIT campus.
Others in chemical are: arun kumar, vinay, raj prakash etc.

Where is Aradya of civil - disco dancer, yeshwanth.

Where is north karnataka group?
Katageri, Bhushi, dhandin, reshmi, modi, shivana gowda patil?

Anybody have any contact of many such friends, pl make efforts like there is no tomorrow.

Yesterday myself and Mallikarjun met the country club manager and discussed.

1. The cost of stay is finalized to Rs 1,000 Person. They have rooms such as 1) 10 No.s of Suites which can accommodate 5 persons 2) 5 double rooms which can accommodate 3 person with extra bed 3)3 single rooms which can accommodate 3 persons. You can share the rooms and suites the way you want.

2. Dinner is included in the tariff of Rs 1,000. The menu includes both Veg and Non Veg.(He will be sending the menu, we will finalize it)

3. Liquor is available , Beer , Whiskey(Only scotch) , Soda and soft drinks. Anybody planning to bring liquor is ok. No corkage fee for that.

4. Pick up from Country club on 2^nd Oct at 8.30 AM confirmed by Mallikarjun. (The registration and breakfast at SIT starts at 9.00 AM)

Nag Kumar and Mallikarjun will be discussing with the Country Club today or tomorrow and will finalise the following:

a) Room tariff – We have been confirmed a tariff of 1100/-. Whether it will be on twin sharing basis or triple sharing basis.

b) Dinner on 1^st Oct and the menu – I guess it should be a fixed buffet menu which perhaps Nagkumar and Mallikarjun can decide . Nagkumar says the tariff of 1100/- includes this dinner. To be confirmed.

c) Whether we can carry our hard liquor and pay them a corkage fee. Soft drinks and beer to be taken from them. Negotiate rates for all.

Guess we should hear from them by wed or thurs.
