Dear TAs,
This is a reminder that ANY health issue arising in a laboratory or classroom should be immediately brought to the attention of Campus Police who will perform any additional follow up that is necessary. If is NOT FOR US to determine the severity of a health issue as we do not have sufficient training to make a decision on this topic. If a student under your supervision exhibits any accidents, falls, cuts, burns, spills, feeling faint or sick, difficulty breathing or distress of any kind, call Campus Police (x5105) immediately. Do not allow a student to talk you out of calling for help, and do not advise the student to go to Campus Health on their own. They may not know the extent of their injury either. When Campus Police arrive, relate your observations to them, and they will know how to handle the problem from that point on. Thank you in advance for adhering to this policy.
