October - December Reading Assignment

Dear Avid Readers of SCBC Online:

 

Welcome to reading!  The following book will be read this fall/winter session (October - December):

 

Book One:  Sleep Don't Come Easy by J.D. Mason and Victor McGlothin

 

 

Book Two:  My Best Friend and My Man by Cydney Rax

 

 

Book Three:  Honey Flava by Zane (optionl)

 

 

 

You can click books to purchase online.  Book discussion for book one will commence November 15th, and for book two December 13th.  Book three is a free read and can be discussed by members prior Spring reading, February 1, 2009.  Discussion for book three is optioinal.

 

Basic questions to remember while reading:

 

How did you like the author's writing style?

Which character captured your attention?

How does the plight of this family compare to families you know?

If you met the author, what question would you ask concerning his book?

SCBC is working to install a chatroom on the website so that all book discussions can occur there. Please watch for updates concerning discussions.
