Hello...

 

SCBC created the online group/forum in hopes of encouraging African American women to read titles published by African American authors. We also sent suggestions on reading per quarter at your own pace.

 

We have come to understand that a large majority of members of this group desired to be informed of literary happenings than participating in online group discussions of suggested titles. Therefore, SCBC has decided to just send information regarding the African American literary world and will suggest titles periodically.

 

We will not hinder the discussion of books within this group, as that is what the group was created for--member who may not be able to participate in a book club or cannot find a book club in their area.

 

If you have any suggestions, please feel free to share them in the group or you may send them directly to: sistah...@gmail.com. Equally, if you are interested in start a chapter of SCBC in your area, please send requests to the same email address.
