the fury of the storm did not wake the Lord,

the frightened cries of His disciples did!

 

When will we learn that we are safer with Jesus on a stormy sea than we are without Him even on the most placid lake?

 

Better to be with Jesus,

in ANY circumstance,

than to be ANYWHERE else without Him.

 

 

And there arose a great storm of wind,

and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow:

and they awake him, and say unto him,

Master, carest thou not that we perish?

From that time many of his disciples

went back, and walked no more with him.

Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go?

thou hast the words of eternal life.

And we believe and are sure that

thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
