ForceFive is an American adaptation of five different anime television series. In the United States, this series was primarily shown only in New England, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, though it did make brief appearances in other markets, such as Texas, and Northern California on KICU-TV 36. It was also shown in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on CFMT channel 47 and in Asia on Star Plus during the 1990s. It was produced by Jim Terry and his company American Way, and it consisted of five imported Japanese giant robot serials (originally produced in the mid-1970s by Toei Animation) in response to the popularity of the Shogun Warriors toy collection. Mattel was one of the sponsors of the series.

In an anthology style, the five shows were broadcast simultaneously with one episode of each serial assigned a specific weekday. Additionally, all of the shows were edited into two-hour films and marketed on video tape by Family Home Entertainment. In the UK, Krypton Force released several of these programmes but under different series titles.

A top government agent assembles a force of five martial arts experts to carry out a near-impossible assignment. They must topple the corrupt organization behind one of the world's wealthiest and most powerful religious leaders.

Sharene Brown, spouse of the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, announces the Five & Thrive initiative, Dec. 17, 2021. The new initiative focuses on the top five life challenges faced by military families. (U.S. Air Force graphic)

Both are strategic planning tools, but they serve different purposes. The five-force model analyzes the competitive environment of an industry, looking at its intensity and the bargaining power of suppliers and customers. SWOT analysis, meanwhile, is broader and assesses a company's internal strengths and weaknesses as well as its external opportunities and threats.

It can assist in strategic planning by pinpointing areas where the company excels and faces obstacles, helping to align the company's strategy with its internal resources and prospects in the market while mitigating its vulnerabilities and external challenges.

Porter's model has been used to analyze how globalization affects industry competition. For instance, globalization lowers barriers to entry in specific industries, intensifying the threat of new entrants from different regions.

It can also expand the pool of potential substitutes and alter the power dynamics with suppliers and customers worldwide. While Porter and others were doing this analysis for industries facing global competition decades ago, it's still applicable to sectors undergoing this process in the 2020s.

Using the model, we would begin by looking at the competitive rivalry. The AI sector is marked by high competition with key players ranging from tech giants to small startups. Rapid advances mean companies have to move quickly simply to maintain relevance. We would then need to gauge the power of suppliers of data sets and specialized hardware, which have ample power since AI firms rely heavily on these resources.

Moving to consumers, we would need to review the needs of individual consumers and whether larger companies can force AI firms to negotiate better services and prices for them. The field of AI has been attracting many new entrants, but there are significant barriers to entry, including high initial research and development costs. Lastly, the threat from the last force, the possibility of substitutes, depends on what a firm wants to do with its AI-based technology. The more complicated the tasks the AI is given, the more likely other goods and services can't substitute for it.

Extreme weather takes center stage in this full dome animated show revealing images not seen by naked eye due to their life-threatening nature. Using real movies and NASA based images, Force Five offers the audience a vantage that would never be safe in the real world, creating a sense of what it would look and feel like if you were standing in the middle of a deadly storm. "Experience a storm without getting wet!"

The show begins by stepping back in time to 1900, when the great hurricane swept through Galveston, killing over 6,000 men, women, and children in one night of terror. Homes collapsed under the incredible force of torrential winds, powerful rain and rising water, and animates how the surge may have looked. It then shows how NASA spacecraft and special aircraft measure hurricanes and predict their paths. We fly with a storm chaser aircraft through the heart of a hurricane.

The 22-minute show then turns to the next FORCE FIVE killer, the tornado. These violent and unpredictable storms turn flying debris into lethal weapons. A fulldome animation then puts you into a realistic storm, with stormchasers using amateur radio to report the twister's position and save lives.

The final journey of FORCE FIVE transports the audience to the surface of the sun, where the most powerful storms in the solar system occur. The violent force of these solar events equals the energy output of a million hydrogen bombs. A coronal mass ejection can create disturbances that can damage spacecraft, disrupt communications, and disable power grids here on Earth. Without the protection of Earth's magnetic field, these storms would destroy most life on the planet. NASA spacecraft monitor the Sun and the solar wind to help us understand and predict nature's next move.

The pre/post-show questionnaire is intended to serve as a measure of effectiveness of both the show itself and the supplemental material. Prior to any information about the show being provided to students they should take the questionnaire. This should serve as an accurate gauge of their prior knowledge.

Upon completion of viewing the show and the activities on the following pages, students should be given the same questionnaire. By comparing the pre-show and post-show scores, the overall effectiveness of the program can be determined.

The one exception to this rule of giant robots is the program known as Spaceketeers. Originally the granddaddy of giant robot cartoons, Mazinger-Z, was to fill this slot but when it fell through, this program filled its place.

Known in its native language as Science Fiction Saiyuki Starzinger, Spaceketeers is loosely based on the Janpanes folklore Journey to the West. Jesse Dart is a sci-fi adaptation of the Monkey King character of myth.

I never tire of seeing Jesse Dart take his attacks too far, causing the Princess to remind him that they are on a mission of peace, cross her arms and force him to calm down. The middle of the week always proved to be one of the high points thanks to the high level of violence and comedy in each episode.

The number of Hispanic workers contributing to our economy is growing steadily. The latest employment projections for 2020-2030 show substantial growth as well as higher labor force participation rates. Here are five facts to know:

As a share of the overall labor force, the gap between Hispanics and non-Hispanics is still large but shrinking. The Hispanic proportion of the workforce has increased from 8.5% in 1990 to 18.0% in 2020. In 2030, the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects Hispanics to account for 1 out of every 5 workers in the labor force, at 21.2%.

The Hispanic labor force participation rate is higher than non-Hispanics because they tend to be younger and in the prime age working group, 25-54 years old. The median age of Hispanics in the labor force is 38.5 compared with 42.0 for the entire population. (See table 3.4.)

The sector with the highest concentration of Hispanic workers is farming, fishing and forestry at 43.0%. In second place is building and grounds cleaning and maintenance, at 37.9%; followed by construction and extraction at 35.7%; food preparation and serving at 27.3%; and transportation and material moving at 23.9%. While Hispanics remain overrepresented in service occupations, they now make up 10.7% of workers in management jobs, up from 5.2% in 2000.

Dorothy's mother was a member of a noble house in the Gilliken Country of Oz. When the Wicked Witches conquered Oz, the noble housed became victims of the new regime, using their potent blood to reinforce the witch's magical hold over the populace. Dorothy's mother managed to escape with her life, smuggled away in a farmer's cart. She spent the next few months posing as a farmer's wife. She died while giving birth to her daughter.

When Dorothy was eleven, a witch called Mother Rigby came in hopes of finding her mother, but she would settle on the young girl. In the process of conducting a ritual, the witch was attacked by two witch hunters. During the fight, a whirlwind picked up a barn with Mother Rigby, Dorothy and her dog Toto. Dorothy stabbed Rigby to death.

The winds took the barn to Oz. Dorothy was surrounded by a curious tribe of gnomes, who were shocked by the girl's arrival and her delivery of the corpse of the "Wicked Witch of the East", buried under the remains of the barn. This gnome tribe, known locally as Munchkins (for they lived in the shadow of Mt. Munch), gave Dorothy the witch's magical silver shoes as a trophy and made her the guest of honor at a lavish feast and festival. Realizing she was not in Kansas anymore, Dorothy soon set off on the Yellow Brick Road to seek the aid of the "Wizard of Oz" in the Emerald City to find her way back home.
