Dr. Benji Ozynski will be talking on the Wits Healthcare Innovation group, a model for bringing healthcare and tech together.

Benji Ozynski is a medical doctor who graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is the Director of Business Development of Wits Healthcare Innovation and a co-founder of Market Mx. He discovered his passion for entrepreneurship after starting his first business in medical school, and is working to build a career integrating business, health and technology.

Wits Healthcare Innovation's primary goal is to create bottom-up innovation within the South African healthcare industry to develop and support scalable solutions to South Africa’s most urgent health problems, aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals. More here info [here]

Talks at SisonkeBiotik Monthly Meets aim to alternate their focus between machine learning and healthcare, this month the focus is more towards healthcare, next month will be more towards machine learning.

Every week a Thursday at 18:00 UTC +2h  🕕  there is an open meet to discuss and develop research initiatives.  

Every last Thursday of the month at 18:00 UTC +2h  🕕  there is an open meet for about an hour towards developing the community. This includes (but is not limited to) opportunities for community members to: 

• present talks on research or topics of interest 🎤

• an open forum for discussion 🗣️ and brainstorming 🧠🌩️

• social activities 🛼🪘

• engage with visitors 🛸 to the community
