Open Call for Applications: Black Research Software Engineers

Dear SisonkeBiotik community,
I wanted to share info about a new open call for applications that may be relevant to some of you. The Event Fund supports stewards working towards more equitable next-generation scientific practices, infrastructures, and technologies. This next cohort will focus on supporting and connecting Black Research Software Engineers and their communities.

We have provided an open definition of Research Software Engineers to make room for the diversity we seek. We are keen to invite applications from those who may not strictly consider themselves a “Research Software Engineer.” Applications are due Nov. 27.
We will also be hosting informal open office hours (times and registration links below) in case you have any questions as you begin to work on your application.
