We are pleased to invite you to the AI for Health in Africa workshop at the Science Forum South Africa 2025, hosted by Sisonke Biotik, DS-I Africa, and Deep Learning IndabaX South Africa.

This workshop will bring together researchers, practitioners, and healthcare professionals to explore the transformative role of artificial intelligence and data science in addressing health challenges across Africa. The programme features keynote presentations, panel discussions, and a hands-on design dash where participants will collaboratively sketch AI-based solutions to key healthcare problems.

Topics will include:

• The impact of data quality on ethics, bias, and AI model performance

• Data privacy and equitable resource access

• Participatory research and community engagement

• Emerging trends in AI, biomedical research, and public health
