Oggetto: Conference on "New Perspectives in Modeling and Measurement of Biogenic Volatile Organic Compound Emissions by Remote Sensing", 15-16 June 2017, Antwerp (Belgium)
15 – 16 June 2017 Antwerp (Belgium)
Dear colleagues
We have the pleasure to invite you to the Conference on “New Perspectives in Modeling and Measurement of Biogenic Volatile Organic Compound Emissions by Remote Sensing” that will be held on 15 – 16 June 2017 in Antwerp (Belgium).
This Conference concludes the HYPI project, a research project on “Assessment of Isoprene emission by Hyperspectral data", funded in 2016 and 2017 by the Belgian Science Policy Office. The Conference is aimed at researchers involved in the measuring and the modeling of biogenic volatile organic carbon compounds from plants and vegetation. Specific attention is given to the use of proximal and remotely sensed observations for up-scaling plant BVOC emissions from leaf to canopy and regional level.
The participants will be invited to share their experiences and knowledge to improve the current understanding of the mechanisms controlling vegetation BVOC’s and the limits of specific Earth Observations methods.
The Conference welcomes voluntary oral and poster presentations. Participation is free of charge (no registration fee), but registration prior to the deadlines below is requested. This Conference is sponsored by the STEREO III program of the Belgian Science Policy Office.
