We are looking for a postdoctoral research associate to investigate the effects of climate variation on crop yield and forest production across Africa. This PRDA will focus on analysing and modelling the effects of climate and soil moisture on crop and forest water use, photosynthesis and production. Competitive candidates will have experience in hydrological and/or biogeochemical modelling, model-data fusion, well developed numerical analytical skills, and a proven capacity to publish scientific outputs. The appointee will combine earth observations, field data and modelling to determine the current and future states of tropical production and plant growth, and their controlling processes. We have a well-developed model-data fusion system that will be used to meet project objectives.

This post is full time, fixed term for 24 months and is available from 01 April 2017; or as soon as possible thereafter.
