Mr Ricky Tan,

Let me introduce myself as one of the first parents who have children at SIS since 2007. I’ve always
looked forward to a spacious and comfortable school as to its name. But I started to find it more and
more unreasonable when the school not yet has been built. Ms Lesley might know the school didn’t
have its own kitchen since my son entered when he’s only 20 months till he’s 3. Therefore we had to
bring the food from home for his lunch for 2 school years long while I was still paying for his food at
school. But I thought your school could have some difficulties at the beginning so I didn’t take it for
credit even though everyone could see that unreasonable thing. But it just remains the same. The
quantity of pupils has increased but the quality has decreased, not to mention the education programs
but the services for lunch and the staying in. You presume SIS as the only school in Danang with the
international education quality which prevents you from listening to the ideas and reaction of the
parents when you issued the unreasonable policies for the time being. So below are our own ideas:

-I and some other parents are leaving ISIS not because we’re not satisfied with the education
quality (even though it’s not yet reached the international standard) but because we’re not
satisfied with your own behavior as well as the management’s. For Ms Lesley herself, we
really like and respect her but what a pity such good teachers like her are not respected at
your school. We would like you to know you’re having business in our country and at our city
particularly. We would never make concessions to the unreasonable things that you and the
management are doing at your school even though it’s the only one here. You do business. We
do business too. What you expect is what we expect.
-As we're doing     business there should be negotiation between parties when inadequate issues
appen. But you as well as the management didn’t respect us really. You didn’t want to see us
to get to know about the problems. To tell the truth if you’re the principle of SIS Danang this
coming school year all the parents would get their children out of the school because of your
impolite attitude to the parents association which results to the fact the school might have to be
closed. There have been pupils just because of SIS’ fortune to have such enthusiastic teachers
like Ms Lesley and some other ones.

We really think if you do still want to do business in Vietnam you need to learn how to respect the
people first.

Thanks and best regards,

Thanh Thuy
