Thankyou for your patience. Your DreamStation 2 device is provided to you as a replacement for your existing therapy device. This device has been inspected and is safe for your continued therapy use.
We have a patient management software solution that in many cases allows your homecare provider to access the prescription settings from your previous device. This means your replacement device may have comparable settings to your previous device. If, however, you chose to receive a device with Auto-adjusting CPAP settings, it will be set to factory default. You can learn more about the differences between CPAP and Auto-adjusting CPAP here.
While affected devices contained a polyester-based polyurethane (PE-PUR) sound abatement foam component, the sound abatement foam in all new and recertified devices is a silicone foam that has met all applicable industry testing standards, including particulate and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) emissions testing, and is authorized as part of our remediation.
While the DreamStation 2 was not affected by the PE-PUR recall, patients may have received one as a replacement for an affected sleep therapy device. If you have questions about the recent FDA notice, please contact customer service at
833-262-1871.
NOTE: If you had a Ramp pressure set on your device, you will need to reset on the DreamStation 2 device using the replacement Ramp Plus feature. This can be adjusted by tapping the Ramp Plus icon while therapy is running and tapping the +/- icons until the desired and comfortable start pressure is achieved. After Ramp Plus is set, the device will automatically deliver this pressure during the therapy session and future therapy sessions without additional activation.
3. Ensure that the device and humidifier are turned on and that you are wearing the mask on your face. You may need to test this by wearing the device for about 5 minutes. Please note that the humidifier plate will not begin to heat without you wearing the mask.
No- the DreamStation 2 requires that the humidifier is attached, even if you are not using humidification. If you are using your DreamStation 2 device without humidification, please ensure that the humidifier is in place, but turned off.
1. Please be sure that you have removed the humidification chamber from the device prior to filling it with water as this may cause water to splash or spill.
2. Do not fill past the max fill line.
3. Inspect the chamber and lid to make sure that there are no cracks or damage to the chamber that may cause leaking.
1. Ensure that the power supply is plugged securely into the device and that power supply and power brick have a good connection.
2. Plug the power cord directly into wall power and NOT into a surge protector or power strip.
3. Ensure that the power outlet is a good, working outlet and not governed by a wall switch or dimmer.

Your current CPAP device may be set to deliver one level of pressure throughout the night. However, pressure from a CPAP device can either be fixed by setting it manually (conventional CPAP device) or setting it to automatically adjust based on the characteristics of your airway during sleep (auto-titrating CPAP, or Auto- adjusting CPAP).
It can take a few hours for your device, when set to the auto-adjusting mode, to adjust to the characteristics of your airway. As the device adjusts your therapy it may feel different than your previously-prescribed fixed-pressure settings. The Auto CPAP device can change your pressures between the designated range during each night depending on your current situation or need for more or less pressure. It may take a few nights to become acclimated.
