I have received the following email from Mudassir, a graduate of TISS (he is CC'd). He has brought the case of a deserving student, who cannot pay the entire fee for her course. She needs 20 thousand rupees. If you could forward this message to Ramadan group of TISS and other people/organizations that you know, then we should be able to raise the money, Inshallah. The deadline is 20th October, so it needs to move fast.

Mudassir Bhai, can you please forward the details? I guess we will need the course/university where she is studying; bank account details; cv of the student (or some background information i.e. marks in exam). That is what I can think of.

If others feel any other detail or document is needed, please contact Mudassir Bhai.

I am writing this to you to seek your help. 

There is a good friend of mine who is currently pursuing LLB. She is 2nd year for which she is not able to pay her fees, which is around 20k. She is supposed to pay her fees by 20th of this. So, a little urgent!

She had been able to pay her first year fees because she was doing job but now she left her job because of family pressure thereby finding it very difficult to pay her fees. She comes from a traditional low middle Muslim family where there is no support from her family.  And if he does not pay fees she will end up discontinuing her studies in the middle. 

I was being optimistic if can we mobilize the said amount for her through your kind support ? Pls help if you can, I can provide her details.

Dear friends,

Hope everyone are doing fine.  Sorry responding late.

We are seeing many this kind of requests this year mainly because no OBC,NC students get fee exemption at TISS now unlike our times. There are many students who are facing problems in paying the fees, especially poor Muslim students. I have engaged in helping some students to get the financial aide( for two semesters out of four semesters full fee including DH and hostel). We were able to get this for few students and they have to still pay the fee for other two semesters and its a huge amount still for which we trying other supports.

I live on campus and you can give my contacts and ask them to talk to me, I will be able to follow up what ever is necessary though I cant assure anything that we will get but ofcourese we will keep on trying our best.
