Updating Vehicle Location

Hello

I have a request of updating the location of a Vehicle (determined by a GPS/GPRS device) using SIRI.

As far as my understanding of SIRI goes, SIRI does not allow the update of the location of a vehicle - the protocol seems to serve essentially to deliver service information to third parties.

Or did I miss the service that would allow sending the location of a vehicle to the server which would then be relayed to the "third parties"?

Hi Mario

The VehicleMonitoring service is dedicated to provide all information about vehicles, and of course the vehicle location is part of it.

And the vehicle location can also be obtained within the StopMonitoring answer (see MonitoredStopVisitStructure->MonitoredVehicleJourney->[JourneyProgressGroup:ProgressDataGroup]VehicleLocation ) but this service is not designed for regular updates when the vehicle is moving (but updates when the passing time are changing).
