Hi Chris,

I noticed that the previously bundled pip utility is gone, e.g.

julien@ubuntu:~/sire.app/bin$ ll

This means that it is no longer possible to install python add-ons , e.g.

~/sire.app/bundled/bin/pip install ipython ?

Hi Julien,

Yes - pip should be installed and bundled but there is a bug with my
install scripts that means that sometimes pip doesn't get compiled and
installed. I think that this is because there is a dependency failure
on setuptools (which needs installing before pip). At the moment you
need to manually install pip by first manually installing setuptools.
The source files are included in python/bundled/setuptools.tar.gz and
python/bundled/pip.tar.gz.

This is an annoying bug, but has not yet been of sufficient priority
to take the time to fix (as I need to recompile everything from
scratch to trigger the bug...)

Cheers,

Christopher
