So I installed sipxcom 15.08 from CD onto a computer dedicated to be the pbx for a small company.

I am using VOIP.ms as my SIP trunk and have configured it according to the walkthru on VOIP.ms for sipxecs

I am using Yealink T32 phones and could not figure out how to autoprovision them.  I copied the info from the config file for each one and manually entered it.

The phones can call one another, but they cannot make outbound calls or receive inbound calls.  They just ring busy immediately.

VOIP.ms shows my registration as 'active' with the correct ip address and port.
On my sipxcom install, the SIP Trunk SBC statistics show registration status as 'authenticated.'

I'm utterly flummoxed.  Can someone help me please?  I'd pay for support at this point...

Do you see phones in registration page?

I’m not familiar with the Yealink configuration, so I can’t provide a lot of help on those particular phones.

However, I would download a soft client from voiceoperatorpanel.com or counterpath.com and try manually configuring it to the system.  Once it is registered, and you see the registration under diagnostics/registration, try calling extension 100 and 101 to see if they work.  These are the Auto attendant and the Voicemail.  Then try calling 8 + your extension to leave yourself a voicemail.  This give the system a pretty good shakedown that services are up and running.

Then go to your Yealink phones.   Try pluggin one in and letting it boot up.   I don’t know if they use CDP, but if they do, they should self register.   If not, then manually enter the MAC address in device/phone and be sure to “send profile” for the phone – this is what creates the configuration files for the phones themselves.   Next, reboot the phone to see if it comes up okay.

A few other things to check – are you using the system’s DHCP, or another server?  If another server – have you configured Option 66 correctly for your network – it is critical for the phones to get their configuration and find the server.

DO you have external servers for DNS?  Have you built SRV records in the external servers?  Go to servers/server/DNS and run the advisor to see if your DNS records are seen okay.

If phones are registered but cannot call in / out I would also check the codecs and if any 488 not acceptable here in the signaling flow

I've got some notes on how to add the Yealink phone manually to your system (until the auto-provisioning feature will be available) :

1.Manually configure network settings on phone :

Access the phone menu using the admin account with password "admin"(first you might need to go to User Mode - and choose admin, and then go to Setting-Advanced settings)

Setup network/IP settings , save and exit the menu

Phone will (probably) reboot

2.Add the Yealink phone profile to the system :

In admin portal go under Devices->Phones and click the Add new phone menu and select the correct Yealink phone model

On the next screen enter the MAC address of the device

Ok

3.Additional config if phone is configured with static ip address:

Considering the phone is setup with static IP addresses , go under Devices->Phones->"Yealink phone"->Internet port (WAN)-> set WAN Adress type to Static and configure the IP paramaters the same as you have on the phone

No need to send the profile to phone right now

4.Assign a line to this newly added phone :

Go to Devices->Phones->"Yealink phone"->Lines

Click Add Line

Search and add user e.g "201"

Ok

Save and send the profile to phone

(it's quite possible that nothing will happen on the phone until you execute Step 5

A "Failed to reboot" job might be present because phone cannot be rebooted (since user is not registered on it)

5.Configure the provisioning server on phone :

Now with network settings setup on the phone, connect via its web interface

Depending on the model go to Settings->Auto-provision

Set Server URL to point to your server IP : tftp://10.2.0.155/ (tftp should be enabled on server under System->Servers->Device Provisioning)

Also set Username and Password : PlcmSpIp

Next click the AutoProvision Now button

(An extra Send profiles might be required after this)

(A "Failed to reboot" job might be present because phone cannot be rebooted (since user is not registered on it)

Phone will get the config file from the openUC server and reboot (in aprox 2 minutes)

6.In Admin Portal->Diagnostics->Registrations verify the entry for the newly added phone

The output is similar to :

URI : sip:201@server_IP/domain

Contact : sip:201@server_IP:1024;x-sipX-nonat

Phone : phones MAC address

Just to see if you went through the basic steps did you:

1. Assign the voip.ms DID to either an Auto Attendant dial plan or to one of the extension aliases
2. Assign the voip.ms Gateway to a dial plan for outbound calls
3. Registered trunk to port 5080 with voip.ms servers
4. See if the phones are listed under the registration tab
