Upgrading from 21.04 to 25.01

Due to an issue I never resolved (see here), we have remained on 21.04.  We are ready to upgrade to 25.01 and want to get our upgrade path correct.  Three  main questions:

1. Is 25.01 as stable as (or more stable than!) 21.04 was?

2. Is it required or recommended to upgrade to 24.01 first?

3. Now that 25.01 was released, I cannot find the steps to upgrade to 24.01 from 21.04.  Where can I find the step by step to upgrade 21.04 to 24.01 (if needed).

I'm actually really looking forward to this and want it to go very smoothly.  We've been using Sipxcom since 4.x.x (maybe earlier!).

OR: 

24.01 is definitely more stable than 21.04. 

At OnRelay we are using 25.01 internally and for some select customers -- we are still in the process of migrating all production servers from 24.01.

25.01 is a massive upgrade, and it has had some teething issues up until now, some of which were found after we released, we are e.g. still monitoring https://github.com/onrelay/sipxecs/issues/67.

So 25.01 is definitely settling, but depending on your risk apetite you may want to still take a conservative view for your existing production environment. 

2. Is it required or recommended to upgrade to 24.01 first?

OR: Yes, recommended (and would also be required if under support contract). We haven’t tested a direct upgrade from 21.04 to 25.01.

3. Now that 25.01 was released, I cannot find the steps to upgrade to 24.01 from 21.04.  Where can I find the step by step to upgrade 21.04 to 24.01 (if needed).
