SBC Cloud VM or Appliance and ?

Hi, i would install a SBC for connecting remote worker to the Office Sipx PBX, but i have fews questions.
If i understand good the principe is: The SBC BOX or Cloud VM as it makes an outbound connection to the PBX, which is allowed by firewalls to spoke to sipx PBX.

Cloud SBC AWS/Google.. or appliance Sangoma or Audiocode and why VM or appliance and if VM, what kind of VM SBC?
How to configure in best practice with sipx for minimum of security?

Presently, the co-worker use computer softphone with forticlient vpn.

Do you have other suggestion?

Hi, use a VM SBC and VM Sipxcom. Allow on sipxcom only the traffic from the SBC and use the SBC also for upper registration of phones. Any security should be configured on the SBC which is designed for this. If the SBC is properly configured sipxcom/Uniteme is almost failproof, can run for years. Usually what busts it is floods from phones or attacks if improperly secured. Otherwise it's very stable
