Centos 7 Sipxcom Installation Fails

Trying to install sipxcom 21.04 on basic Centos 7 version  Linux 3.10.0-1160.76.1.el7.x86_64.

The installation exits with the errors below.   Tried to install v8 (yum install v8-devel) but still got the same error.

Any ideas?


Error: Package: sipxproxy-21.04-10718.9a5b9.x86_64 (sipXecs)
           Requires: libv8.so.3()(64bit)
           Available: 1:v8-3.14.5.10-25.el7.x86_64 (epel)
               libv8.so.3()(64bit)

Did you do:
yum install sipxecs
or 
yum install sipxcom

The first one will give you that error.

Please do not use other repos!

Disable epel

Disable all repos that you installed (why?) and it will work fine. The error specifies clearly that you installed the epel repo which blocks the install of sipxcom

Disabling EPEL resolved the issue.   Thank you so much.

I didn't install the EPEL repo.  It's part of the standard Centos 7 image on vultr.com.

I recommend updating installation instructions to verify that all non-Centos repos are disabled.

Hi, if it has Epel it's not "standard" / clean 😊 The instructions state that it needs a clean CentOS image.
