Hello,

First and foremost, this is on a 21.04 installation. I can call my operator, however when I attempt to be transferred to any extension (in this case it is still internal) it does not complete the transfer. Attached is the portion of the sipxivr.log where I attempt a transfer. Any advice or assistance is appreciated. I have the dial plan enabled and allow all extensions to be dialed. I'd offer a PCAP,  but it offers essentially the same info. Dtmf from the phone, rtp stream of the transfer audio, then immediately a sip bye.

Check your SRV records.

Would I be looking for anything in particular? Everything looks okay and checks out elsewhere. The hostname and domain seen in the log is the same as in the records.

What i do to test quickly is turn on dhcp service, then reboot a phone.  Then try to see if you can transfer. If you can, then external dhcp is not setup correctly

Hello,

Make sure the codecs of your media service match the codecs of your extensions.

When you transfer from the operator the media service may originate a call with an incompatible codec.

Unfortunately, the issue persists without using DHCP and the media service codecs is matching that of the phones. What log might provide me more info on what might be happening after ivr logs the transfer to the extension and when it logs ending the attendant?

Thank you.

Using a packet capture and wireshark can tell you what is going on.

In addition to wireshark, we normally troubleshoot such issues by opening a terminal at /var/log/sipxpbx and issuing a tail -f *.log command just before the failing operation, preferably at a time with limited other traffic / noise.

It will normally point you to where the call breaks, and if needed you can then temporarily enable debug logging for the failing service to get more details.

Would also recommend you upgrade to 24.01, we did a lot of fixes there.

Describe your Dhcp setup.
What provides DHCP?
On that server, describe your SRV records for tcp and udp.

They have to be there to transfer calls.
