Hey Everyone,
I am working on putting together a new virtual private cloud in Vultr where I am going to host sipXcom and integrate an LDAP as a service from JumpCloud (https://www.jumpcloud.com). I have done this with MS Active Directory before, but I recently signed up with this new service that promises to either complement AD or completely replace it. It also integrates RADIUS and other services that promise to make AAA easier to manage. I don't know much about it yet, but I was hoping maybe someone here might have any experience with integrating them with sipXcom? Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Hi Guys,
I wanted to follow up about this. I just tried to add an LDAP connection with no luck to JumpCloud. JumpCloud says they are using SAMBA 4, but when I tried to get it to connect I get an "invalid dn" message at the top in red.
Generic LDAP communication failure: [LDAP: error code 34 - invalid DN]

I was wondering if anybody wanted to try this with me? JumpCloud is free for up to 10 users and I would like to use them for managing my users (globally). They mentioned something that they don't support joining anything to them as a domain, but I just want to make sure that I can't do it with sipXcom. They pointed me to some documentation:

But I thought I could just get it to work... Any input would be greatly appreciated. If you have an instance of sipXcom you want to test with JumpCloud, that would be great. I would really like to see something like this working.

On another note, I have been successful at connecting sipXcom to OpenLDAP running on nethserver. The problem I am having there is that I don't have a way of creating custom attributes that I would like to map in sipXcom LDAP import. If you have advice on that as well, that would be awesome too. I heard that you could make custom attributes with LAM, but I am unfamiliar with how to use LAM. Anyway, your input would be greatly appreciated...

Sincerely,
Steven Lane
