git source control management

Hi Folks:

For sipX we are currently maintaining both a subversion/svn repo and a mirror of it in git on github.  We would like to eliminate the subversion repository mostly to reduce the infrastructure and effort that is required to keep both svn and git repos.  Does anyone mind if we only used git at some point in the near future?
