Christmas is just around the corner, which, for many families, means gathering in the living room to watch their favorite holiday movie or putting one on the background while decorating the tree or baking in the kitchen.
Whether you're a fan of the animated classics like "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" or modern stories like "A Christmas Story Christmas" (based on the 1983 classic) and "Holiday in the Wild," one of the many streaming services is bound to have your favorites.
We've compiled a list of several Christmas movies available on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Max (formerly HBO Max), Disney+, Apple TV+ and Peacock. The list is not comprehensive, as there are countless Christmas movies spread across various streaming services. If your favorite Christmas or holiday movie isn't on our list below, search for it on your streaming service or online.

RANT Casino began the process of finding the most popular Netflix Christmas movies with a seed list of the 20 highest-rated Netflix Christmas movies on IMDb. Search analytics tool Ahrefs was then used to collect data on the average global monthly search volumes for each of the movies. Movies were then ranked in descending order, based on the amount of average global monthly search volumes they had generated. The date was collected on Nov. 7.
Streaming services can get in the holiday spirit, too. Streamers from Paramount+ to discovery+ have stocked up on Christmas fare, from reality-competition baking shows to popular seasonal hits, like "Planes, Trains and Automobiles."
