I first tried with my own domain -- no luck.

Then I tried calling your bo...@sipcloak.net.   Eikga says your offline.   I can call lots of other SIP URIs and it works fine.

What should I try, or are you offline?

Gerry

We'll be glad to set you up a SIP URI on pbxinaflash.com. Just drop me a note on the forum.

Richard I understand how adding a SRV record will redirect calls to my domain to sipcloak
But how does the TXT work to provision my SIP URI, say 0...@mydomain.com, in relation to your server?
Do I need a true valid sip address for this to work or has sipcloak anything to do with generating/assigning sip credentials?
Thx

Where 0...@mydomain.com points to, needs to be a legitimate sip address.  0...@mydomain.com becomes an alias for your legitimate sip address, no credentials required.

richard i've got 0...@mydomain.com now ringing a sip of my choice - but not calling from all sips:
callcentric failed, iptel succeeded....

any idea?

Hi James,

I suspect CallCentric does not allow non-numbered calls, like many commercial voip companies.
Can CallCentric call the sip of your choice directly?

Thx Richard

Yes callcentric reaches the destination sip i routed to which is 9905100...@sip.skype.com, but not via my 001@mydomain

And i wonder if i have SRVs of same prority in my domain, like that of iptel and onsip hosting, will sipcloak still supposed to work as intended?

Best regards
James

Hello James,

I just joined this group but I may be able to help.

You may wish to consider registering on SIP Broker if you wish to be reached by SIP clients or SIP servers that don't support regular SIP addresses. For example, 1777123...@in.callcentric.com translates to *46217771234567101 or **275*46217771234567101 where **275 is the SIP Broker access code (can sometimes be omitted), *462 is the Callcentric access code assigned by SIP Broker, 17771234567 is the Callcentric user number and 101 is the extension (if applicable).

I am not an expert but I think having various SRV entries of the same priority with <_sip._udp> pointing to different SIP servers is a bad idea. Why would you even want to do that? Assigning different priorities would be wiser if you want to use all servers but lowest numbered one as backup. However, all of them would have to be configured correctly so that they direct <m...@mydomain.tld> to <na...@sipprovider.tld>. Additionally, if TXT records are used by any of the SIP servers, they must not cause any conflict.

I hope this may be helpful to you or others who read this.

Regards,

Guillaume
