Well, I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery :-)  

Code is clean and concise, certainly shorter than SipCloak's, although I am biased to SipCloak's subtle differences and IM handling - not that many use/support SIP IM... :-)

I cleaned up the code to mimic sipcloak's discarding of non-alphanumeric characters. Better handling if no TXT record is found for the username, version 2:  https://gist.github.com/anonymous/6411992
