The Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP) is looking for a short-term consultant to support the team in two ongoing activities:

    (1) The Open Energy Tools (OET) is an energy wiki that provides a neutral platform for the sharing and co-development of open source energy tools and data, and supports the creation of a community of practice. OET is currently available at http://energytools.esmap.org (registration required), with plans to make it a self-standing, neutrally branded site open to all users. Initial development has been undertaken by the MITRE Corporation under contract, but the immediate need is to expand the user base, improve the content, and support users coming onto the site.

    (2) The Project Resource Center (PRC) is a crowd-sourced database ESMAP is currently developing in cooperation with the wiki-platform https://energypedia.info. Hosted on Energypedia, the platform aims to provide a broad set of information and documents to assist the global energy community to improve the design and implementation of RE projects, incorporate best practices and lessons learned from RE projects supported by the WBG and other institutions, and is operationally oriented to address practical implementation needs at each stage in the RE project cycle.

The appointee will be part of ESMAPs clean energy team. He/she will support the team in taking forward ESMAPs work on the Open Energy Tools and the Project Resource Center.

This position strongly requires knowledge and experience of wiki platforms, including posting and editing of content as well as excellent IT skills. Only applications meeting those requirements will be considered.

For further information or to express an interest in this position please contact Katharina Meder at kme...@worldbank.org or on +1-202-473-5194. The selection process will be carried out via the World Bank's eConsult platform to which eligible candidates will be invited to submit a cover letter and CV. If you go to this website you need to click on 'Business Opportunities' and then search through those marked as for 'individuals' to find Section #1117279. Application deadline is August 19.

Please find the detailed TOR attached.
