Hi everyone,

I am Yiming Qu and I am running for the Co-Chair of UNSPWG.If you
are a member of UNSPWG, please stand by me in this election. It is
never too late to make your voice heard. Please pitch in your back by
midnight linkhttp://www.surveymonkey.com/s/K6K3MZ6. This election is
quite extraordinary moment for me because I view it as a valuable
opportunity of getting to know each one of you. After having had some
delightful conversations with you, I am ready to bring your ideas and
thoughts into effective actions.

Here are some visions I would love to put forward:
[Capacity Building of the UNSPWG]
First, more opportunities to "deeply" engage with the UN
•One-on-one meeting with UN alumni
•Organized visits to delegation offices per your interest
Second, more interactions among our group members
•Increase information exchange and network sharing
Third, group projects/ field trips/community service associated
with the UN during winter break and spring break
Fourth, mingle with professors and adjunct professors who are
involved with UN or UN issues

Fifth, sixth and more...I am counting on you because I am here to
listen to your ideas, to work with you and to widen the circle of
opportunities for all our members. I am part of you and thus I
understand exactly what you want from this organization and I am in
the same shoes as you are. My journey from China to the US has shaped
who I am--a person who went through as many cultural shocks as you
could imagine at a fairly young age when she first came to the United
States without knowing anyone on the continent and now who grew up to
be an open-minded cosmopolitan who is so eager to welcome diverse
cultures and who owns genuine concerns about a peaceful and prosperous
world.

Essentially, our stories are no different. What brought us
together are our shared values and ideas about making the world a
better place. It is our common belief that success is not measured by
wealth and prestige but by the difference we can make in people's
lives that composes our community. I am always willing and ready to
serve each one of you and I believe that together we can make things
better and greater! Please stand by me--vote Yiming Qu for the
co-chair by tonight.

Thank you all! Wish you all a peaceful and lovely Thanksgiving!

Yiming
