Hi, I want to set a number that should be displayed at the receiver's end. There's a configuration as displayName in UserAgent. I am passing some there but on the receiver's end, it shows Unknown or Private Number. It seems there must be some rules that need to be followed for setting the caller ID. Is there some particular format in which I need to send the caller IDs? Can anyone guide me through this?
Thanks.

Usually those kind of things are being done on the PBX side. You have an extension with extension number 1000 registered to your PBX, and your PBX can configure this extension's outbound caller ID to be some E164 number format, for example. Personally, I'm not doing it on SIP.js level, but on my FreeSWITCH (PBX) side.

Hello, Thanks for the reply. Yes, I can achieve this by configuring the outbound caller ID from my Asterisks (PBX) side.
