Hello,

I'm developing on Chrome for Android, using video and audio sessions.

I have been trying to find a way to switch between the back and front camera during a session.
The idea is to have a little button which will allow the user to either show his face (front camera) or show something (back camera).

Is there a way to switch cameras mid-session?

Thanks :)

Hi,

I'd like to know if this is possible too (not necessarily just for chrome/android)
Has anyone managed it?

Our library does not provide this functionality. You would have to implement your own media handler.

OK thanks

So it is possible then?
If so, do you have any pointers as to where to start/what would be required?
I would guess a renegotiation is needed - so a session.reinvite might be a good starting point?

https://webrtc.github.io/samples/src/content/devices/input-output/ would probably be a good place to try and figure it out.
