Hi,

I am using v1.5 SIP Inspector and having a problem of creating multiple call in one scenario. In my scenario file, there are three dialogs, however, it always loops in the first dialog even adding "New Dialog" command or goto command. So I would like to know:
1. Does v1.5 support for this function?
2. If there is problem by using v1.5, did the svn source v288 fix this issue?
3. Or which version of SIP Inspector support this kind of scenario?

Kindly help, thank you.

Best regards,
Weddie

Hi Weddie!

1.5 version was still an open source version. This version is not supported and you will have to fight issues and possibly make code changes to make it work on your own :-(

Paid versions should support and correctly work with 'New Dialog' command. To get a clear picture I would need to see the scenario file you are working with. Only then I can tell you how things can be changed to make everything work. At the moment, there are limitations what kind and how many different dialogs you can throw into a single scenario file.

Zarko

Hi Zarko,

The steps of conference simulation are as below:
1. A calls B, A call hold B.
2. A calls C, A call hold C.
3. A sends INVITE to media mixing server then transfer B and C to media mixing server.

Please see the attached files, in my testing, I would load SIP_Register first and ensure the REGISTER is passed, then load SIP_Conference for testing. However, the next INVITE (step 2 and 3) was kept looping the first set (conference_fail.JPG).

Thank you.

Best regards,
Weddie

Hi Weddie!

In version 1.5 you can not have multiple dialogs in the same scenario file. You have two options at this point:
1) Switch to using 2 instances of SIP Inspector on the same IP but different ports. One would handle receive REGISTER and incoming INVITE, the other will make a call to the device you are testing. This also means that each SIP Inspector instance will have a bit different scenario files loaded on to them.
2) Version 3.48 can handle multiple dialogs in one scenario file and you can accomplish exactly what you are looking for. Scenario file would need to be modified a bit and an additional program options not to check Call-ID  need to be used.

Zarko

Hi Zarko,

Thanks for your comment.

Since Version 3.48 can support for this function, I would like to know if there is an evaluation version of SIP Inspector Pro? So I can preview and check this scenario in my test environment.

Best regards,
Weddie

Hey Weddie!

Evaluation versions are up version 1.5. After that SIP Inspector became a paid-for software. Paid versions have additional support (which includes code changes if necessary).

Hi Zarko,

I have a similar scenario with multiple dialogs and with reINVITE hold/retrieve. But received INVITE for HOLD doesn't get to right line in scenario (
//start HOLD klica B
<----------
INVITE)

but to previously received INVITE.
I have options -noCID  and version:
Version: SIP Inspector Deluxe 5.44

Thanks.

Regards,
Branko

Did you enable 'Do not check Call-ID' option?

Also, please provide a Wireshark trace.

I see there is also an incorrect printout of the scenario execution. I will look into both issues (to fix looks on the screen progress) and see what happens with the INVITE and why it is not processed as expected.

Hi Branko,

sorry for a delay. Your issue is now addressed. Please download and try version 5.50 (Win or OtherOS).

Zarko
